March 7th – A Photographic Journey Through Kings Park Psychiatric Center, with John Lazzaro
Award winning photographer and author John Lazzaro takes us on a photographic journey through local landmark, the Kings Park Psychiatric Center. Combining rare, archival images as well as his own photography, Lazzaro will discuss his work and the approach to his creative process behind his 2019 book, The Walls Still Talk.
March 21st – The Rich History of Long Island, with Noel Gish
Noted teacher, lecturer and author Noel Gish will present a light hearted look at the rich history that is Long Island through an examination of the men and women who have lived and worked here, so that we may see how this island of ours fits into the nation’s history.
March 28th – Seeking Sanctuary, 125 Years of Synagogues on Long Island, with Brad Kolodny
Author and photographer Brad Kolodny presents his recent book, Seeking Sanctuary, “… the most comprehesive study of Long Island Jewry ever published.” (Myjewishbooks.com) Books will be available for purchase and signing following the presentation.
All lectures are free and open to the public. Lectures start promptly at 7PM.
