Our Adopt-An-Animal sponsorship program was created to give the community a way to connect with and learn more about our farm animals, while helping to support their care and maintenance. By participating in this program, you will help provide the necessary support to care for a rescued farm animal. SHS animals require regular veterinary care, enrichment activities and habitat maintenance to stay healthy and safe. And boy, do they eat a lot! You will receive the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to support your favorite animal PLUS the following perks…
- Adopt-an–Animal Certificate
- 8 x 11 Color Photo of your chosen animal
- Welcome Letter, general animal facts and specific information on your chosen animal, plus 2x a year updates
All of our animals can be visited at the historic Arthur Rockwell Farm, part of the grounds of the SHS. They are all important members of our Education team, participating in public and school programs throughout the year. The Adopt-An-Animal program is great for kids and adults alike, and is a perfect gift for the person who has everything! You can choose to adopt one of our 6 chickens, one of our 9 female sheep, or our grumpy old man, PonyBoy. You can also sponsor Bugs and Beans, bunnies, our newest friends and farm animals!
