Valentine’s Day Serenade

Transitions Saxophone Quartet is proud to present a special Valentine’s Day afternoon of music, celebrating a century of songs of love. Transitions will perform the music of artists who have been inspired by love and romance including George Gershwin’s standard “Love is Here to Stay,” Bill Withers’ sultry “Just the Two of Us,” Shostakovich’s iconic waltz from his Jazz Suite no. 2, the infectious “Moondance” by Van Morrison, Glen Miller’s signature “Moonlight Serenade,” the romantic “Just the Way You Are” by Long Island artist Billy Joel, and the fan favorite “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” by songwriter and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Wine and chocolate strawberries will be served. Proceeds will go towards preservation and repair of our historic buildings.
